Mobile Use Questions

How do I turn layers on and off?
  1. Tap the “Legend” menu 
  2. Scroll the legend with your finger until the desired layer is visible
  3. Check the box next to the layer name to make the layer visible, or un-check it to turn the layer off.
How do I see my location?
  1. Tap the arrow button in the toolbar.
  2. Allow MapPort access to the devices location if prompted.
  3. The map view will zoom and center on a blue dot indicating your position.
How do I select multiple features?
  1. Be sure your zoom level is at least 13
  2. Tap the  button
  3. Tap features of interest.

Subscriptions and Accounts

How do I sign up for an account?

Simply go to here for Parcel Viewer or here for Wildfire Viewer, select which maps you would like access to and fill in your billing information.

How does a monthly subscription work?

Full map access is provided from the moment the first monthly fee is charged to your card.

For Parcel Viewer, the charge recurs at the same time each month. If you add another county, the monthly fee will be prorated and billed to match the existing cycle.

For Wildfire Viewer, the charge does not recur at the end of the month. Access will end unless a new subscription is purchased.

You may cancel any subscription at any time. Full map access will continue for the duration of the cycle for which you have paid.

 

How does a day pass subscription work?

Day pass access extends to 24 hours from the time the single day fee is charged. No recurring charge is applied.

 

How do I add/remove a collaborator seat?

 

  • Click the My Maps tab in the header bar.
  • In your dashboard, click the My Account tab.
  • Click the up arrow next to the number of Collaborator Seats to increase the number of available seats; or click the down arrow to reduce the number of available seats.
  • Click update.

If seats are added, the fee will be applied in the same billing cycle as the underlying account. If seats are removed, seat access will continue for the duration of the cycle for which you have paid.

 

 

How do I cancel a subscription?

 

  • Click the My Maps tab in the header bar.
  • In your dashboard, click the My Account tab.
  • In the account page, click the Manage Subscriptions button and check the box next to the county you wish to remove.
  • Click Update.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, anytime. Contact ENPLAN support at (530) 402-4783 or via email at wmsgroup@enplan.com to have your account permanently deleted.

Coordinates

Latitude: The measurement of distance north or south of the Equator at the earth’s surface.

Longitude: The measurement of distance east or west of the Prime Meridian at the earth’s surface.

Map Interface

The collection of data layers and tools with which a user can interact.

Map View

The current representation of geographic datasets compiled by a user in the map interface.

Parcel

A defined area of land owned by a legal entity.

Hotspot

A “Hot Spot“ is an area of the Earth’s surface that is radiating a large amount of heat, thus indicating a fire.

Tool

Means by which a MapPort user creates map views or manipulates data.The visual representation of a geographic dataset.
